Dyson to launch its high end OnTrac headphones in India on September 23

Dyson has finally revealed the launch date for its first-ever audio-only headphones, the Dyson OnTrac, in India. The launch is set for September 23, and will mark Dyson’s entry into the Indian audio market with its first high-fidelity, audio-only headphones which offers advanced noise-cancelling technology with luxurious design elements.
Ahead of the launch the Dyson’s OnTrac headphones are currently available for pre-booking through Dyson’s official website. Interested buyers can also experience the headphones at select Dyson Demo stores across the country. The company has also brought Indian artist Badshah on board as the brand ambassador for the OnTrac headphones in India, aiming to connect with a broader audience.
The Dyson OnTrac headphones come equipped with Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) technology, which utilises eight microphones to sample external noise 384,000 times per second, reducing noise by up to 40dB. According to Dyson this feature is designed to enhance the listening experience by minimising background noise. The headphones are fitted with 40mm neodymium drivers that cover a frequency range of 6Hz to 21,000Hz, aimed at delivering a balanced sound profile across various music genres.
One of the key features of the OnTrac headphones is their customization options. Dyson is offering users the option to personalise their headphones with interchangeable caps and ear cushions, available in over 2,000 colour combinations.
On the build side, the Dyson OnTrac headphones are constructed using materials such as aluminium, ceramic, and microfiber to offer durability and comfort. The headphones also feature multi-pivot gimbal arms and the placement of the battery within the headband to offer a balanced weight distribution for more comfortable wear.
As for power, the OnTrac headphones are powered by two lithium-ion batteries, which Dyson claims can provide up to 55 hours of playback on a single charge with ANC enabled. Dyson says that this extended battery life could be beneficial for users who need long-lasting performance without frequent recharging. The headphones also support fast charging via USB-C, with a 30-minute charge offering up to 9 hours of playback and a quick 10-minute charge promising up to 2.5 hours of use.
Connectivity options in the DYson’s Ontrac include Bluetooth 5.0, with a range of up to 9 meters, allowing for wireless pairing with various devices. The headphones can be controlled through the MyDyson app, which provides additional features like real-time sound tracking and custom EQ modes, including Bass Boost, Neutral, and Enhanced settings. Users can also manage playback and calls using the intuitive joystick controls on the headphones.
Globally, Dyson introduced the OnTrac headphones in July with a price tag of $500. Indian pricing is expected to be around the same range , placing the OnTrac in the premium segment of audio products. The Dyson OnTrac headphones will be available in four colour options: CNC Copper, CNC Aluminum, CNC Black Nickel, and Ceramic Cinnabar.
